BPS Joint Meetings

On 12th July 2004, the Society organised a meeting with UK-based pain specialists with view of exploring ways in which the Society might better engage and represent the needs of British pain scientists. One of the results of the meeting was to organise one-day joint symposia with scientific organisations.

The Courses & Meetings Committee, chaired by Dr Paul Watson, has taken on this initiative and has liaised with representatives from the British Neuroscience Association, the British Pharmacological Society and the British Physiological Society.

The first meeting was held jointly with the British Neuroscience Association on 14 October 2005 in Milton Keynes. It is hoped that the second meeting will be held jointly with the British Physiological Society.

Full details will be posted as soon as they are available.
