Annual Scientific Meeting

The British Pain Society hosts an Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) which is held at different locations throughout the UK. The aim of the ASM is to encourage healthcare professionals, from all disciplines involved in the understanding and management of pain, to exchange ideas and increase understanding in all aspects of pain and pain management.

There are a number of opportunities at the ASM to advertise to the participants and speakers e.g. booking stands at the technical exhibition, placing an advert in the final programme, having your company logo featured in the final programme or having an insert in the participant welcome packs. In addition there are a number of sponsorship opportunities e.g. you can sponsor a satellite meeting, sponsor and brand the participant bags, sponsor the pads and/or pens for the participant welcome packs as well as sponsoring the cyber café.

Please see below for further information or contact Jenny Nicholas on 020 7269 7844 or by email at jennynicholas@britishpainsociety.org.

The 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in London at ExCel on Tuesday 31st March - Friday 3rd April. Exhibition packs and registration forms will be available in November/December 2008.

Technical Exhibition
An integral part of the ASM is the Technical Exhibition which provides pharmaceutical, book and equipment companies the opportunity to advertise their latest products to participants and speakers at the meeting.

Our 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in London at ExCel on Tuesday 31st March- Friday 3rd April. If you are a regular exhibitor at our meetings, you will have automatically been sent information. Advert in Final Programme
You can target all the Meeting's participants and speakers by placing a double, full or 1/2 page advert in the full colour, glossy Final Programme. If you are not able to exhibit at the Meeting, you can still advertise in the Final Programme ensuring that your company name and message reaches the participants.

Costs, sizes and booking dates will be available here nearer the time.

Company logo in Final Programme
Exhibitors are offered the opportunity to include a short company description in the Final Programme alongside the exhibition floor plan; this is free to all exhibitors. In addition, exhibitors may include a full colour logo alongside their company description to reinforce their corporate identity. Full details will appear here nearer the time.

Insert in participant welcome packs
A further means of advertising to the participants is to place an insert in the welcome packs. Exhibitors, and indeed those who are not exhibiting at this year's meeting, are welcome to take up the offer. Costs and booking dates will be available here nearer the time.

Sponsored Satellite Meetings
The Society offers technical exhibitors the opportunity to sponsor a satellite meeting at the ASM. For the last five years, our Annual Scientific Meeting has attracted an average of 1,000 healthcare professionals who work within the field of pain research and pain management.

These sponsored satellite meetings are open to all the healthcare professionals who attend the Meeting and attendance to the sponsored satellite meetings is included in their registration fee. There are six satellite meeting slots which are all held during the 4-day event.
